The vintage Fisher Price cash register is one of my favorite retro toys from the 1970s. Did you know you can pick a remake of this famous toy and relive those nostalgic moments? Ummmm, of course I did!

Okay, I’ve made an observation when it comes to vintage toys. I’ve posted a few videos and still shot posts on TikTok and YouTube. The feedback, comments, follows, and interest has really surprised me. I think it’s all about nostalgia. Anyone my age certainly remembers the Play Family playsets, the telephone, the cash register, and that popcorn push toy.
Those toys have evolved over time and Fisher-Price has updated the product design over the years. However, they re-released a number of those toys in their original styling. Look at these and tell me you’re not smiling ear to ear!

Here’s a remake, which look almost identical to the original releases from the 1960s-1980s. I’ll dissect them later, but here’s a look at the remakes.

But take a look at the very first 1974 original version of the cash register! I couldn’t resist chasing one down on eBay.
